What is ParentHelper?
A coach for you, the parent. Photograph the schoolwork your child is stuck on — or just ask a question by typing or speaking — and ParentHelper explains the topic to you in plain language, then hands you a plan for teaching it to your child: the steps, the words to say, the mistake to watch for, and a practice problem.
How is this different from a homework tutor app?
A homework tutor talks to the child and deliberately withholds the answer to make them think. ParentHelper talks to the adult and does the opposite: it gives you the answer and the reasoning, because you cannot teach something you do not understand yourself. It will never tell you to just hand your child the answer.
They teach it differently than I learned it. Can it help with that?
That is the main thing it is for. Tell it how you were taught — the old long-division method, borrowing, whatever it is — and it will bridge your method to the one on your child's worksheet so you can help without confusing them.
What do I get for free?
Everyone gets 3 free sessions every day — no account, no card. A session is one photo or one question, plus the whole back-and-forth conversation and teach-it plan that follows it. Free sessions come back every day.
What does the paid plan add?
$9/month, or $90/year (two months free), for unlimited sessions — every subject, both languages, as many nights as homework takes. Cancel anytime.
What is the teach-it plan?
A short, printable plan for sitting down with your child: what the concept is (explained for you first), an everyday analogy, three to five teaching steps with the exact words you can say, the typical mistake children make on this topic, and a practice problem with its answer hidden until you tap to reveal it.
What subjects and grades does it cover?
K–12: math, reading, writing, science, history and more — plus how to support learning at home (focus, routines, motivation, reading together, study habits). Homeschooling parents can also ask about graduation requirements and high-school credits.
Does it work in Spanish?
Yes — the entire experience is bilingual, English and Spanish (Mexico), including the spoken voice. Tap the EN/ES toggle any time.
How does voice work?
Tap the microphone once and it goes hands-free: the coach talks, then listens for your reply automatically — useful when your hands are busy and your child is at the table. Tap the mic again to turn it off, or tap while it is talking to interrupt.
Are the photos of my child's work stored?
No. The photo is read once to identify the topic, held in memory only for the length of the session, and never written to disk. We never use your content to train AI, we show no ads, and we never sell data. See our Privacy Policy.
Do I need an account?
Not for the free tier. An account (passwordless — we email you a magic link) is only needed to subscribe, so your plan works on all your devices.
Is this for my child to use?
No — it is written for an adult and gives direct answers, so it is not the right tool to hand to a child doing homework. For that, a student-facing tutor is the better fit.
How do I cancel?
Any time. On the web, from the billing portal in the app. If you subscribed in the mobile app, cancel in Google Play › Subscriptions or Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email support@homeworktutors.ai from your account email and we will delete your account and associated data.

¿Qué es ParentHelper?

¿En qué se diferencia de una app de tutoría?
Un tutor de tareas le habla al niño y a propósito no le da la respuesta, para hacerlo pensar. ParentHelper le habla al adulto y hace lo contrario: te da la respuesta y el razonamiento, porque no puedes enseñar algo que tú mismo no entiendes. Nunca te dirá que simplemente le des la respuesta a tu hijo.
Lo enseñan distinto a como yo aprendí. ¿Me puede ayudar con eso?
Para eso es, principalmente. Dile cómo te enseñaron a ti — la división larga de antes, el préstamo al restar, lo que sea — y conectará tu método con el que aparece en la hoja de tu hijo, para que puedas ayudar sin confundirlo.
¿Qué incluye la parte gratis?
Todos reciben 3 sesiones gratis cada día — sin cuenta y sin tarjeta. Una sesión es una foto o una pregunta, más toda la conversación y el plan para enseñarlo que vienen después. Las sesiones gratis vuelven cada día.
¿Qué agrega el plan de paga?

¿Qué es el plan para enseñarlo?
Un plan corto e imprimible para sentarte con tu hijo: qué es el concepto (explicado primero para ti), una analogía cotidiana, de tres a cinco pasos con las palabras exactas que puedes decir, el error típico de los niños en ese tema, y un problema de práctica con la respuesta oculta hasta que la quieras ver.
¿Qué materias y grados cubre?
K–12: matemáticas, lectura, escritura, ciencias, historia y más — además de cómo apoyar el aprendizaje en casa (concentración, rutinas, motivación, leer juntos, hábitos de estudio). Los padres que educan en casa también pueden preguntar por requisitos de graduación y créditos de preparatoria.
¿Funciona en español?
Sí — toda la experiencia es bilingüe, inglés y español (México), incluida la voz. Toca el botón EN/ES cuando quieras.
¿Cómo funciona la voz?
Toca el micrófono una vez y queda manos libres: el coach habla y luego escucha tu respuesta automáticamente — útil cuando tienes las manos ocupadas y tu hijo está en la mesa. Tócalo otra vez para apagarlo, o tócalo mientras habla para interrumpirlo.
¿Se guardan las fotos del trabajo de mi hijo?

¿Necesito una cuenta?
No para la parte gratis. Una cuenta (sin contraseña — te enviamos un enlace mágico por correo) solo se necesita para suscribirte, para que tu plan funcione en todos tus dispositivos.
¿Es para que la use mi hijo?
No — está escrita para un adulto y da respuestas directas, así que no es la herramienta indicada para darle a un niño que está haciendo su tarea. Para eso, un tutor para estudiantes es mejor opción.
¿Cómo cancelo?
Cuando quieras. En la web, desde el portal de facturación en la app. Si te suscribiste en la app móvil, cancela en Google Play › Suscripciones o Configuración › Apple ID › Suscripciones.
¿Cómo elimino mi cuenta y mis datos?
